The Jam: Only Child

The Jam: Only Child was performed by Daniel J. Watt at Webster Hall on July 30, 2017. DJ Duggz (Preston Duggar lll) was the DJ for the show.

Daniels grandmother would make jam by scratch. She would share what she did not consume. This show is in honor of her.

Daniel reads, sings and raps his poetry. We learn about his life as an only child, raised by his mother. Things are weighing him down so he goes to psychiatrist to help him with his demons. Everyone has things they repress in the back of their minds we just have to know how to deal with them. So starts our journey of Daniel life thru age twenty one. That’s when all hell breaks loose!

He discusses the way African Americans are still being treated by society and how it affected him. Daniel tells every one he sorry he let his friends down.

This is a very touching story, told by a very talented man. It’s not for me to tell Daniels story. The best way would be to hear it from him yourself.

Daniel even tapped dance some of the story.

I can’t wait to see him on Broadway again, he is so amazing.
