David Kolowitz (Chris Dwan) is delivering a package to a theatre. He lets himself in and starts acting on stage. Pike (Raji Ahsan) tells him he can’t be there.
When he arrives at work at a repair shop his friend Marvin (Joe Veale) is there. He has a clipping from the paper about a theatre having audition and free tuition for acting lessons. David really wants to be an actor. His boss Mr. Forman (Ray DeMattis) wants him to get to work. David said he has to leave early too get his father a birthday present.
When he gets to the theatre/school he is the third person there. Marlowe (Davis Schramm) is not impressed with him but his daughter Angela (Farah Alvin) is and asks her father to hire him. During rehearsal with Angela things get hot and heavy.
The secretary Miss B (Dana Costello) encourages him.
Meanwhile his girlfriend Wanda (Allie Trimm) lends him money to buy his costume, a tux he needs for the role he is playing.
When he is in rehearsal he not only says his lines but Angela too!
David’s mother (Allison Fraser) is worried about him. He’s acting strange. She tells his father (Robert Picardo) he has to borrow money so they can send David to school to be a pharmacist. When his mother tells him her plans he goes ballistic. She gives him a knife and tells him to put it in her back. David finally gives in and says he won’t be an actor. But later he decides no matter what, that’s what he wants to be.
He gets to the theatre just as his character is supposed to appear. When he looks at the audience he freezes. David relaxes, he’s a sensation. He goes on to do more roles and becomes a famous actor.
Chris Dwan was awesome. The rest of the cast shine.
I’m not much for comedy. This one show is so funny I couldn’t stop laughing.
There is a scene with Ray Demattis and Robert Picardo and Davis Schramm that will rock you out of your seat. This is a show is definably one show you have to see.
