The Awesome 80's Prom

The prom is held at Webster's Hall at 123 East 11th Street on Saturday evenings. Audience attendance can be from 200 to 300 on any given Saturday. The pitch is it is "the ideal place to have your Bachelorette Party, Sweet 16 Party, Birthday, Class Reunion or Anniversary".

The show opened in August 2004 and is still going strong.

The prom is at Wanaget High School class of 1989.

Music is from the 80's and the dance floor is there to dance on. After the show you can stay and party some more.

Cast members are your usual jocks, cheerleaders, nerds and so on. Without giving any spoilers as to what happens, the show is fun and relaxing. The cast members mingle with the audience. Sometimes you can't tell who is in the cast and who is part of the audience. That makes it more fun. Everyone is a senior and classmate. Dickie Harrington "The Drama Queen" (Wade Dooley) sat next to me and said wasn't Melissa Ann Martin (Lauren Schafler) purple dress ridiculous with that puffed sleeve. It looks like she has a tumor on her shoulder. But don't tell anyone I said that.

When I took a picture of the principal Mr Snelgrove ( Thomas Poarch) and The Drama Teacher Mrs Lascalzo (Andrea Biggs), Mr Snelgrove sneered at me. I said, to him I don't care what you say I'm still graduating.

The opportunity is yours to be part of the cast. Audience members seemed to be having a good time.

As Mrs Lascalzo escorted me back to the hall she said to me I would make it in the theatre. Here I am writing theatre reviews. Wow, how correct was she?
