Daniel Breaker was nominated for a Tony Award in 2008 for “Passing Strange”. He won an Obie Award for this role.

Henry Winkler is best known for his role as ”The Fonz” on “Happy Days” in the 1970’s. He won a Golden Globe Award in 1976 and 1997 and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1976, 1977 and 1978 for this role. Henry was nominated for a Golden Globes Award in 1978 for “Hero’s” and 1983 for “Night Shift”. In 1997 he was nominated for an Emmy for guest actor in “The Practice”.

Cheyenne Jackson won a “Theatre World Award” in 2005 for outstanding Broadway debut in “All Shook Up”. He has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award in 2005 for “All Shook Up”. In 2008 he was also nominated for a Drama Desk Award for “Xanadu” and 2010 for “Finian’s Rainbow”.

Before the show opens the stage had a big screen that rotates around. One side says welcome to the other the adult film awards. The time is the present. It takes place in a hotel room in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mandrew (Cheyenne Jackson) is being interviewed by Lee (Daniel Breaker) for the New York Post. He is doing a story on porn stars. The interview is in Mandrew hotel room. He is in town for the Adult Film Awards which he is confident he will win. Lee is a high school friend of his. Sara (Alicia Silverstone) came with her finance Lee.

Peeps (Ari Gaynor) is Mandrew wife. She also stars in porn films. Peeps friend Sundown Le May (Jenni Barber, ) a fellow porn star just had breast implants done. This infuriates Peeps since she didn't tell her she was having it done. She’s more upset her friend out shines with her extremely large breast.

Chuck Wood (Henry Winkler) plays an ageing porn star. Chuck wins the award but not the admiration from the other stars. He realizes his days are numbered in the industry.

The story revolves the couple’s relationship with each other, porn movies they made and the award show.

I may be naive but I did not find this show funny. The audience was laughing. Maybe this is not my kind of humor.

The thing I did like was the set. The hotel room changes to make it look like Lee’s room. Certain areas rotate around giving it a different look. The other set is the hotel lounge. Anna Louizo designed the set. She received a Tony nomination in 2008 for “In the Heights” and in 2007 for “High Fidelity”. Anna just did the set for “The Mystery of Drood”. I also found this set to be outstanding.

Ari Gaynor does a good job in her role. She never skips a beat.

Cheyenne Jackson is convincing as the ditsy “clueless” no brain-er person. Are people really like that?

If you are into porn maybe you might find this funny. But I didn't. Save your money and read a good book. Better yet rent a movie. I’ll let you decide what kind to see.
