Duran is having problems. making ends meet. His girlfriend (Debre Christine TJong) leaves him with her two kids.

He is depressed and goes looking for someone else. Duran meets Mariana (Ciara Renee). They are attracted to each other. She left her husband Man in Black (Anoop Desai). He solicited the next-door neighbor’s teenage daughter for sex. Mariana testifies against him. He’s out for revenge and kills her and then kills someone else near Duran and throws the gun at him. Duran throws the gun away but his finger prints are on the gun.

In the end he is arrested and convicted of a crime he didn’t do. One of the songs he sings is bad things happen to good people.

Things happen but go see this intriguing musical. There is no dialogue. In the beginning there is a lot to absorb since everything is sung.

Three actors have major roles, the others add to the story. At most performances Duran is played by Joshua Henry and the Man in Black is played by Ryan Vasquez.

Ryan Vazquez, Anoop Desai and Ciara Renee were outstanding. I was mesmerized by Tilly Evans-Kruger dancing. She was amazing. The whole cast shined!

The choreography done by Travis Well blew me away. Thomas Kail direction brilliant. I felt the pain Duran had. Ross Golan book, music and lyrics were inspiring. The beat was great.

Finally, the musicians rocked.

So, I guess you could say this musical is one you should see. But be prepared for no dialogue
