Dylan Spokes (Ben Schnetze) is setting up a table for a game of snookers. The game is like American pool. His father Bobby (John Ellison Conlee) comes in with food. He offers Dylan shrimp. He reminds his dad he’s vegan. Bobby was a drug dealer that wasn’t good at it.
Mohammad Butt (Bhavesh Patel) and Eleanor Lavery (Heather Lind) come in. Mohammad said he was there to make sure Dylan did not take drugs to qualify for the national snooker championship. Eleanor said she’s there to make sure he doesn’t take bets on the side.
After they leave Tony DanLino (Max Gordon Moore) strolls in. He’s Dylan manager and hands out his business card to whoever comes into the room.
Dylan’s mother Stella (Johanna Day) arrives with her friend Danny Killeen (Thomas Jay Ryan). Bobby keeps telling Dylan not to give her any money. She claims she owes Waxy Bush (Alexandra Billings) money. Waxy was a gangster until he became a she. Stella told her Dylan would lose the game he played to qualify for the championship. She spread the word to a lot of people who lost money since he won.
Dylan mother and her friend are kidnaped by Waxy. When he arrives at Waxy house he finds Stella and Danny tied up and gagged. When he refuses to lose one of the games in the World Snooker Championship, they kill Danny.
He doesn’t want to but what else can he do? He loses one game. Everyone who lost money before wins their money back.
What you thought happen didn’t but I’m not telling you what did.
This is a great comedy to see. At times it may be silly but in a nice way. Is that British humor? I loved it.
The cast does a great job especially Max Gordon Moore. They all shinned.
David Rockwell did a great job on the set.
